H. Moser & Cie Endeavour Dual Time Special Edition (Specs and Price)

| By Brice Goulard | 3 min read |

Since last year H. Moser & Cie has set out on a new course and they have harmonized the collection. Now there are two families of watches; the Venturer and the Endeavour. We already introduced the Venturer Small Seconds and just recently the Venturer Tourbillon Dual Time, which is Moser & Cie’s first (and of course in-house) tourbillon.  The other collection comprises, among others, one of our favourite perpetual calendars, the Endeavour Perpetual Calendar that comes in a full black and in a black golden limited edition. Today we’re introducing a special edition of the H. Moser & Cie Endeavour Dual Time, a limited edition exclusively for its retail partner Elegant, in Hong Kong.

The base for this limited edition is the H. Moser & Cie Endeavour Dual Time. This timepiece uses the same case than the Black DLC Perpetual Calendar we’ve been presenting you right after Baselworld (and that will be fully reviewed soon here, on Monochrome-Watches). The case has nice curved shapes, a reasonable 40.8mm diameter and a mix of mirror polished and brushed finishes. Exclusively for its Hong Kong retailer, H. Moser is introducing the Endeavour Dual Time in DLC Titanium, when the rest of the collection uses precious metals only (gold or platinum).

The choice is deliberately to have a discreet and monochromatic design. First, the case is DLC coated in the same dark anthracite grey than the Endeavour Perpetual Calendar Black Edition. Thus, it is not fully black and has some nice metallic reflections. The choice of Grade 5 is not only guided by its higher quality, but also because it is the only titanium that can be mirror polished like a precious metal of stainless steel. It also brings a high resistance to scratches and a very good comfort, due to a lower weight. The strap is also specific, as it is made of hand-stitched, carbon-coated black alligator.

The dial is also unique to this Special Edition, with an anthracite tone, sandblasted and plated with ruthenium entirely by hand. The polished grey hands and black applied indexes are also using the same monochrome idea. The only touch of colour comes from the second time-zone hand in red. When not needed, this hand is concealed underneath the “home time” hour hand. When traveling or working in an international business environment, you simply adjust the red second hour hand to the new local time. The hour hand for the second time zone moves with the home time hour hand. The Double Pull Crown can be pulled precisely to the central position without stopping the movement, so the home time is not disturbed.

Like the regular edition, this Special Edition of the H. Moser & Cie Endeavour Dual Time comes with the in-house Calibre HMC 346. It is an automatic movement that boasts at least 3 days of power reserve and that features several H. Moser’s delicacies: the interchangeable escapement and balance wheel module, the in-house Straumann hairspring and the Moser teeth for all wheels and pinions. The decoration of the movement is very clean and pleasant, with straight Moser stripes (a variation of the Geneva Stripes) on the bridges, polished bevelled angles by hand and a nice solid gold rotor.
