| By Brice Goulard | 3 min read |

Yesterday we showed you the new Vacheron Constantin Overseas World Time, and today we’re showing you some more news from the Overseas collection. This time it isn’t a new complication, however a new dial colour for both the Vacheron Constantin Overseas 4500V 3-hand watch and the Chronograph 5500V. These two models were introduced with a blue and silver dial, and now there’s a third colour. And boy, what a colour! Not many watch brands dare to go off the beaten path of black, white/silver or blue, well, Vacheron Constantin, a brand that has proven not to be shy to go off that beaten track, does so again. And with flair!

The new Overseas collection by Vacheron Constantin was clearly one of the main attractions of the SIHH 2016. We reviewed all of them here at Monochrome-Watches, including the 2 editions that we are looking at today: the automatic 3-hand 4500V and the Chronograph 5500V. This watch, emblematic of the 260 years old Maison, is the definition of a luxury sports watch: refined, sporty, complex, exquisitely finished but robust, made of stainless steel and with movements that is decorated with the Geneva Hallmark. Quite a unique mix however everything comes in a very well designed case. We’ve been impressed, that’s for sure! These two models were already very appealing in the other two colours – deep blue and light silver – and we’re now going to drool again, as both the 3-hander and the chronograph can be ordered with a refined and warm brown dial.

No evolution on the look of finish of the dial, expect this new colour. The execution is still the same: a plate with sun-ray pattern in the center, a velvet finishing for the tracks, on top of with is applied a translucent lacquer, which leaves visible the surface finishings underneath. Just like in the blue and silver editions, it will brings an interesting depth to the dial. On top of it, we still find the same polished applied markers and the same hands, both thinner and more elegant than on the previous editions.

These 2 new brown editions of the Vacheron Constantin Overseas still relies on the same intelligent exchangeable strap / bracelet system. To complement the look of the brown dial, both the leather strap and the rubber strap (both included in the box, newt to the superbly finished metallic bracelet) are in brown tones. With this new colour, the Vacheron Constantin Overseas will potentially loose a bit of sportiveness but it will gain a welcomed warm side and a bit of elegance.
