Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean 600M SKYFALL Limited Edition
It’s becoming a good habbit from Omega, releasing a limited edition Seamaster. While previous James Bond L.E. models were based on the Semaster Professional, this is the third limited edition Seamaster Planet Ocean (and the first in 42 mm size) for a James Bond movie.
Skyfall will be the 23rd James Bond movie and will be released in autumn 2012. And again 007 will again wear an Omega Seamaster. This time the 42 mm version Seamaster Planet Ocean 600m will be the limited edition for Skyfall.
This is already the second limited edition that Omega releases this year. In January this year, they already released a limited edition Seamaster Professional for the 50th anniversary of James Bond (our friends of Hodinkee published the news). That one was “limited” to 11,007 pieces! And that seems like normal for the Omega Seamaster limited editions. Previous versions were limited to 10,007 pieces. Personally I think it’s good that Omega reduced the limitation to “just” 5,007 pieces for the Seamaster Planet Ocean 600m Skyfall L.E.
This Seamaster Planet Ocean is equipped with a unidirectional rotating diving bezel and a helium escape valve and is water resistant to 600 metres / 2000 feet.
The watch has a 42 mm stainless steel case with brushed and polished finish. This is the same finish that I liked so much on the Seamaster Chronograph that I reviewed for you. It also features the same screw-and-pin bracelet, although the divers’ clasp is now engraved with “007”. The diving bezel is a ceramic ring with a matt black finish and silver indices.
The matte black dial has a checkered or brick shape structure and features applied indexes, which are coated with white Super-Luminova that emits blue light! How cool is that. The hour and seconds hands also emit blue light in the dark, while the minute hand emits green light, as does the dot on the diving bezel. According to Omega this makes it easier for divers, to keep track of their time at a glance. The 7 o’clock marker has been replaced by a 007 logo!
Inside ticks Omega’s new Co-Axial calibre 8507, with a SKYFALL 007 engraving on the rotor, that can be seen through sapphire crystal in the brushed screw-in caseback. The new caliber is equipped with an Si14 silicon balance spring, that I explained here together with the co-axial escapement.
Omega has full faith in the new movements with co-axial escapement and silican balance and they give four years of warranty on the watch. All 5,007 pieces are delivered in a special presentation box. Hmmm… very interesting! The price is € 4760 Euro including taxes.

Actually it’s the third LE 007 PO. Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace (with Walther PPK handle textured dial) and now this Skyfall edition.
THank you FXD, you’re absolutely right!
Oh please!! Give us something new for our money!!
what is the price in us dollar?
VAT in the Netherlands is 21%, so after that’s deducted roughly 3760 Euro remain. IN USD that is roughly $ 4780 USD before tax.

As stated in the article, there were 5,007 pieces. This model is now sold out, but maybe you can find it pre-owned.
