Last year marked the introduction of the revised Seamaster Diver 300M, a.k.a. the “Bond watch”, a.k.a. Omega’s entry-level diver. Renewed with a slightly larger case, a redesigned dial in ceramic, laser-engraved with the iconic wave pattern, available in multiple colours and materials, the main evolution concerned the arrival of an in-house, Master Chronometer movement. This year, Omega expands the collection with a new White Ceramic dial for the Seamaster Diver 300M.

Certainly, this new model isn’t Omega’s main novelty of the year… This role has been given to the chronograph version of this watch. What you see here is a simple visual update, which nevertheless deserves a mention for being rather handsome indeed.

The basic recipe of the 2018 Omega Seamaster Diver 300M has been kept, with a 42mm stainless steel case, the helium escape valve at 10 o’clock, the new ceramic bezel with enamel-filled scale and the option of a steel bracelet or an integrated black rubber strap. Same case, same proportions, same design.

For 2019, we have however a new version of this watch, in addition to the existing black, blue and grey/blue editions. To give a brighter, less toolish look to its semi-professional dive watch, Omega adds a white ceramic dial to the collection, combined with blackened hands and hours markers, which still retains the laser-engraved wave pattern. The result, with the black-and-white bezel, is pleasant and makes the watch smaller and less “instrument-like”. The contrast remains perfect and so does the legibility.

Powering this new Omega Seamaster Diver 300M White Dial is the same Calibre 8800 Co-Axial Master Chronometer, an automatic engine with 55h power, here visible through the sapphire caseback.

All in all, this new white version of the Seamaster Diver 300M is pleasant and fresh. Its price will be equal to other steel versions of this watch, meaning EUR 4,600 on rubber strap and EUR 4,900 on steel bracelet. More details at omegawatches.com

  1. I like this dial but white markers on a white dial with white hands is rather silly.

  2. Can you imagine this in full brush like the original Great White GMT? Omg yes please
