Brellum Unveils Two New Versions of its Retro-inspired Duobox

| By Xavier Markl | 2 min read |

Brellum has just unveiled two new versions of its retro-inspired Duobox. The first variation of this beautiful and well thought-out chronograph is rendered in steel and gold, while the second is a limited edition of 8 pieces in steel, powered by a modified Valjoux 7750 featuring a power reserve indication at 3 o’clock. Like the previous models, these new watches are great value for money. Let’s take a look!

It is never wise to change a winning team. Following the launch of the Duo-Box late in 2016, Brellum is introducing new versions of this no-nonsense chronograph using the same recipe. The design is clean, traditional and all in all super-well executed. The movement is a no-brainer, with the consistent and reliable Valjoux 7750 (which, in this instance, has been COSC certified). It is stunningly good value for money because Sebastien Muller sells directly with no middlemen. His substantial experience in product development and production management in the industry allows him to source quality components at a fair and competitive price.

The new Classic Gold Edition of the Duobox features a pink gold bezel and pink gold indexes. Its Valjoux 7750 movement is decorated with Geneva stripes, blued screws and a Brellum oscillating weight treated with PVD. It is COSC certified. It retails at 2’890 CHF on leather strap, which is only a 500 CHF bump on the price of the classic steel version. It comes on your choice of an alligator leather strap or stainless steel Milanese bracelet with folding buckle.

Sebastien Muller has also released an exclusive 8-piece limited edition with a new movement. Like its other chronographs, it is built around the Valjoux 7750. However, this modified version features a power reserve indicator at 3 o’clock. Overall, the product specifications remain unchanged from the original, with the same retro-inspired case with mushroom pushers and two sapphire box glasses. 41.8mm in diameter it is crafted in steel. The main difference is the new dial lay-out with the added functionality. It features a pulsometric scale. The rotor has a black PVD finish. The Brellum Duobox Classic Power Reserve Limited Edition comes at a price of CHF 2.675 Swiss Francs, and is limited to only eight pieces.
